*Each necklace features a breakaway clasp which is the safest connection type.
*Every necklace is also knotted or double knotted at either end of the bead row. This is to ensure that in the unlikely event of a clasp failure you don't lose all your beads for tiny hands to find later.
Safety Dos & Don'ts:
*Our necklaces are adult jewellery items, not toys. A baby or child should only interact with the necklace when worn by a responsible adult.
*A child should never wear or be left unattended with the necklace as the long cord could pose a strangulation risk. And in the unlikely event a bead came loose it could cause a choking risk. This is why adult supervision is essential to keep our little ones safe.
*Each necklace has a cord and a clasp that are not designed to be chewed.
*Products made with only the food grade silicone beads are fridge and freezer friendly.
*Do not put wooden products in the freezer.
*Wood is a natural item and natural variations can occur, including colour and texture. Therefore it should be handled attentively to prevent damage. Wood products are natural material and therefore adult supervision is required. Natural wood can crack or break with forceful impact or improper handling if they contain a knot or weakened area.
*Always inspect the item before letting a child interact with it. If there are any cracks, splintering or breaks do not give to a child.

Our necklaces have been tested to ensure they meet General Product Safety guidelines. This means they meet all relevant EN-71 safety standards. Please note that this item is not a toy and should never be left with any child unattended. It is designed to only be used by a child when a responsible adult is wearing it.
*For hygiene purposes it's important to regularly clean your product.
*All our products are easily cleaned with warm water, mild soap and should be left to air dry.
*The pieces made with only food grade silicone are dishwasher and steam steriliser safe (top shelf)
*Like all wood products do not submerge or soak in water. This can lead to mould and mildew. Spot clean only.
*Pay special attention to cleaning the crochet beads regularly. The nature of the cotton material is more absorbant and therefore requires regular cleaning for hygiene purposes.
*As the crochet material can be difficult to clean we advise that only the wooden teething ring be used orally.
*If you regularly treat your wooden product with an organic product of your preference i.e. coconut oil, olive oil, avocado oil, or beeswax, it will help avoid splintering and prolong the life of the wood.
*All of our necklaces are easily adjustable to your desired drop length. You can do this by knotting the cord and trimming the excess cord. To avoid fraying, seal the cut end with a dab of glue.
*Please note that these are hand crafted pieces so the drop length stated is an approximation and may vary slightly. We note the exact length of your necklace at the time of shipping.
We disclaim, so far as is legally possible, all liability for any damage, loss, injury, claims, costs, expenses, professional fees and any other liability which has resulted from the improper use of a Thea&Me necklace, improper care of the necklace and or the failure to properly supervise the use of the necklace with any baby or child.
